I can finally show you the baby card I made for a friend of mine. It took me 5 weeks or so to give it to her but finally I can share it with you.

The little duck is from a punch class called Simply Punches I signed up for a couple of months ago that Heather Summers held online. Isn't he cute. She has just started a new class today called Simply Punches Three.

You can't see it very well but I hand stitched round the edge of the top layer. The DSP I used is the new textured, coverweight cardstock called Sweet Slumber. The colours I used are Not quite Navy, So Saffron, Baja Breeze and Whisper White. The stamp set is the level 1 hostess set Punches Three.

Warning Very Girly Card

Here is a card I made last night with my new stamp set A Kind Word. I just couldn't wait to do a very girly card using it. The colours used are Pink Pirouette, Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip, Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue and Blush Blossom. I used the sentiment from the On Your Birthday stamp set, I also used the En Francais background stamp and the number 5 is from a retired number set.

The accessories I used to make this card are the Small Oval Punch, Boho Flower Punch, Eyelet Border Punch, Aqua Painter, Water Colour Paper, Mini Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Snail Adhesive, Pink Pirouette Ribbon and Pink Pirouette Patterns Designer Paper. Oh I almost forgot, I used my going grey marker to outline the image after I coloured it, that helps to make it pop off the page.

I have more to share with you but I have to prep for classes and a workshop so I better leave it for another time.

A Rose is a Rose

Here is a card we made at a stamp-a-stack I held last weekend. It is made out of a Stampin' Up! envelope and I saw the idea at last years Stampin' Up! regional training. I am not sure who originally came up with the idea. I have used the fantastic set A Rose is a Rose as well as the On your Birthday stamp set, Bella Rose DSP, Kiwi Kiss Satin ribbon and the colours Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red, Old Olive and Kiwi Kiss.

I Love Flowers

For this card I have used the colours Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss, Basic Grey and whisper white. The new stamp sets used are Fifth Avenue Floral and On Your Birthday. I have also used a Baja Breeze button from the Button Bouquet Designer button pack and Basic Grey Taffeta Ribbon.
This card was inspired by this card by Dawn at Dawns Stampin Studio.

The end of School Holidays

Sorry I haven't been posting much. My kids have been on school holidays so I have had less time to post to my blog. Here is a card I made last week using one of my new stamp sets called Inspired by Nature. I coloured the stem directly onto the stamp with an old olive marker then added colour to the flower directly to the stamp using sponge daubers starting with Summer Sun, then Cameo Coral, Ruby Red and then Bravo Burgundy. I thought the Echinacea flower was perfect for a get well card.

CASED Faux Wood

I know it has flowers on it but he looks after gardens in his job so I thought it was very fitting to have a fenced garden on his birthday card. It was his birthday today so hopefully he already has his card and I can safely show it on here.This is the same card but I have changed the colours slightly and changed the base card to make it a girly version.

The stamp sets used are Upsy Daisy and Pocket Silhouettes. Colours Summer Sun, Lavender Lace, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, More Mustard, Bashful Blue (sky) and Cameo Coral on the girly one. Tag Punch for the fence.

I have some other cards to show but I have to give them to the people they are for before I can show you on here.

Tonight is the last chance you have to order from the 2008/2009 Catalogue and the Summer mini catalogue. Here is a gift voucher holder I made. It is kind of symbolic of this transition. I have used the retiring Natural Beauty stamp set along with the new In colours from the new catalogue. I have also used the chocolate chip grosgrain ribbon that will be returning due to popular demand. You can't see it very well in the photo but I have also used the En Francais background stamp.

Good Bye "For Father" and "In the Stars" (sniff)

I can't believe that these two sets didn't make it to the new catalogue. I will definitely be keeping them in my retired stamps draw because I love them. Here is a card I made the other day for my Brothers birthday. I first saw the technique faux woodgrain here http://dawnsstampingthoughts.typepad.com/dawns_stamping_thoughts/2008/09/faux-wood-grain.html. I did mine differently though because I scored my lines using my paper trimmer with the scoring blade attachment and I sponged my colours onto the more mustard cardstock instead of dragging the ink pad on the cardstock. What ever way you do it the result is very cool.
Colours used were Not Quite Navy, Chocolate Chip, More Mustard, Very Vanilla (retired), Black Stazon and Basic Black. I used my Aqua painter and water colour crayons on water colour paper for the tool box. The accessories are stampin sponges, earth element brads, the large star punch, snail adhesive and dimensionals.

Here is an easy card I made the other day for a friend of mine who needed a baby boy card. I have used one of the new In Colours that will be available in April, Pacific Point. I have to say I love it already. The card was inspired by a card by Marelle. You can see her card here.

Butterfly Card

Here is a card I made for my sister-in-law's 30th birthday. I have used a butterfly stamp (Stampin' Up! of course) that retired a long time ago that I borrowed from a friend of mine. I don't know the name of the set.

I embossed the image and sentiment with black EP. The butterfly is on SU watercolour paper and coloured using an aquapainter, ink, markers and sponges.

Colours - So Saffron, Ruby Red, Pumpkin Pie, Cameo Coral, Blush Bloosom, Whisper White

DSP - Le-Jardin and So Saffron prints DSP (retired)

Here are two 7 X 7 scrapbook pages that I did last year using products from the Summer Mini Catalogue. Most of the things from this catalogue are due to retire at the end of March (somethings may make it into the new catalogue but we wont know what till it is released). Bold Boy Birthday!

I made this card today for a birthday party we were going to. I find it hard to do boy cards but this one came together very quickly. I was going for a fairly clean minimal look and I think it works but I am not really use to doing things like this. If I try it again I may do some sort of background stamp on the base card but then again that may not look right.I have used the By Land stamp set which sadly is retiring this month and the In the Stars stamp set that is in the Summer Mini (Love this set so versitile).

I have embossed the car image on basic grey card stock with versamark and black EP and embossed the happy birthday in white EP on Basic Black cardstock. The star has been stamped using Real Red (the colour is much brighter in real life) and then I punched it out using the large star punch. I have used dimensionals to pop up the car image and the star.

Bush Fire Appeal Update

Thanks to all of you who have ordered sets from the bush fire appeal list.

Stampin' Up! have advised us today on the demonstrator website that to date, with the sales of the Bushfire Appeal stamp sets, we'll be able to donate $34,653.80 to the Australian Red Cross Victorian Bushfires 2009 Appeal. This appeal has only been running for two weeks so that is a great result.

Remember we still have another month that the appeal will be running to increase this amount so I will keep you up to date with the progress. Thanks again for your support of this worthy cause.

Card Box Set

This is a gift I made for a friend of mine last year for her birthday. I made it in November but never put it up on my blog so I thought I would show you now. Better late than never! It uses a lot of items that are in the Summer Mini Catalogue as well as some of the In Colours that will be retiring soon. I have heard that 4 of the 6 In Colour Ink Refills are on back order so if you need In Colour items you would be better off ordering them before the end of February so they are not already sold out by the time the retire list comes out.The card box contains 4 cards with matching envelopes and 3 gift tags. The designer paper is Afternoon Tea DSP from the Summer mini. The stamps I have used to make this card box and cards are Live Your Dream, Friendly Flowers, Say it with Scallops, Occasional Greetings and Sincere Salutations. The punches are Scallop Edge, corner rounder, the two squares, large and small oval and small star Punches (I used the creative memories tag punch to make the gift tags). The colours I have used are Soft Sky, Groovy Guava, Wild Wasabi, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White.

Something Different

I had a bit of a play the other day in the hope of coming up with something different. This is the result. I have used the tractor from the By Land stamp set (p63) and coloured directly on the stamp with the really rust, chocolate chip, basic grey markers and stamped it onto whisper white CS. I then cut it out, traced over some of the edges with the chocolate chip marker and used dimensionals to pop it up a bit (I put some summer sun CS in the tractor window). The backgound was done using a Brayer with creamy caramel ink at the bottom, soft sky at the top (lightly sponged with brocade blue) and then I made a mountain shaped mask out of computer paper and used my sponge dauber with chocolate chip ink to do the mountains and with another scrap piece sponged the tracks in the soil.
To finish it off I went round the edge of the picture with chocolate chip using the sponge dauber, mounted it on really rust then on a summer sun card base. The sentiment is a rub-on from the last mini catalogue. I think thats it. I hope I haven't forgotten anything.

I'm Back......Did you miss me?

Well here I am. Yes I know I have been gone for a long time but I will try and make up for it. I had two workshops last week both using the same cards so here they are.

In this card I have used the flower stamp from the Eastern Blooms Set and stamped in in regal rose and rose red. I have then punched it out using the 5 petal flower punch and layered them on top of each other (I didn't come up with this great idea, I saw this nifty trick here http://www.marelletaylor.com/2009/01/not-me.html.). I then put a dimensional in the centre of the flower and dipped it in dazzling diamonds (also an idea from the talented Marelle http://www.marelletaylor.com/2007/12/bud-basics-bling.html.)
The branch with little flowers was coloured directly onto the rubber using chocolate chip, rose red and regal rose markers and stamped on whisper white CS and the small flower on the background has been stamped using versamark. The patterned paper is from Bali Breeze DSP in the Summer Mini. To get the sentiment just where I wanted it I used my Stamp-a-majig! (The curvy edge was made using a Creative Memories Curvy Cutter).
For this card I have again used markers to colour directly onto the rubber. The colours are Ruby Red, Old Olive and Cameo Coral and I have used the Summer Mini set Live Your Dream (which is one of the bushfire appeal sets). The sentiment is from the say it in scallops Summer Mini set which i have inked up in cameo coral the rolled the edges in ruby red. I then stamped the small butterfly from the Live Your Dream set in the corner in ruby red then punched it all out using the scalloped square punch. I have used Craft CS for my card base and used the scalloped edge punch to make a decorative edge. The Designer paper I used here is from the Ginger Blossom DSP pack (also in the Summer Mini).

Bushfire Appeal

My heart goes out to all the people who have been devastated by the fires that have ravaged parts of Victoria. I can't imagine what they are all going through.

It's Time for the Summer Mini

The Summer Mini starts today and I love it! I found this card on Linda Higgins blog and based my card on it with a couple of changes. These three cards are the same design just with a few changes. They all use designer paper from the new Bali Breeze DSP pack and the flower stamp from the new Eastern Blooms stamp set. I have used the Scallop Edge Punch on two of them and the ribbons I have used are wide grosgrain and taffeta in chocolate chip. The half pearls are from the pretties kit and the faux stitching is done with the crafters tool kit and the white gel pen. The colours are taken with teal, chocolate chip, river rock, whisper white, rose red and craft.The non SU products used are a "6" from a pack of Heidi Grace stickers I had in my stash and the "Happy Birthday" is from Darkroom Door.

Something Old, Something New

Here is a card I made for one of my best friends for her birthday tomorrow. I really hope she likes it because I had so much fun making it. I have used the heart from the Always Stamp Set (It is retiring tomorrow from the Spring Mini) and stamped it with chocolate chip ink on soft sky textured cardstock. I then added some highlights and faux stitching with the white gel pen and went over some of the design with the fine tip end of my chocolate chip marker. The sentiment is actually one of the new rub ons from the summer mini catalogue and it comes in chocolate chip and white, how good is that! (they are normally black and white). The designer paper and chocolate chip ribbon is also new from the Summer Mini. I have embossed the butterfly from the Touch of Nature stamp set in white EP onto vellum cardstock and cut it out with my SU Paper Snips. It has been attached with a dimensional.

Gotta Love New Designer Papers

The colours for these cards come straight from some of the new designer paper that you will be able to buy very soon. The colours are Whisper White, Cameo Coral, Groovy Guava, River Rock and Ruby Red. I have used "Urban West" and "A Perfect Day" Rub Ons for the sentiments on these cards. I have used SU markers to colour directly onto the flower stamp to get a two colour image. I found a great tutorial on how to make these gorgeous christmas decorations here at Stampin' Academy and I just had to have a go.
I have used some of the lovely Holiday Harmony DSP that will soon be gone with the end of the Spring Mini Catalogue on the 30th of November. The pearls and beads are from the pretties kit and can you see another sneak peek from the Summer Mini Catalogue, cough, cough *scallop square punch* cough cough. The silver cord is retired from SU.

My Entry for Challenge #4

I know I am late with my entry for the 4th Challenge at the Cardinal Stampers blog but I was away for most of last week so this is the first chance I have had to play along. I don't know if I would class this as a masculine page but it was the closest I could do with the photo's that I had to choose from (no time to get any more printed). At least I have sort of stuck to the layout. Thanks Chenoa for giving me an excuse to scrapbook again. I had a lot of fun. I think I still need to add some journaling to the page but I am not sure what I will do yet.

The colours I have used here are Chocolate Chip, Soft Sky, Purely Pomegranate and Whisper White. I have used SU 12 X 12 textured cardstock for everything except the photo mat. The word "Proud" has been stamped on the Holiday Harmony DSP in Chocolate Chip ink using the Big Deal Alphabet. The word Dad is the same except it was stamped on whisper white CS and cut out.

The small circle in the middle of the page and the word "NEW" is chipboard from the from the On Board Lots of Letters Pack. The circle has been covered in Holiday Harmony DSP with Tombow Mono Multi Liquid glue (coming soon in the new mini) and I have applied a rub on from the Cherished Memories Pack (20% off in November). For the word "new" I sponged the letters in whisper white craft ink and embossed them with clear EP. I have used the white gel pen for some faux stitching and to write the date at the bottom of the page. The line and No1 at the top of the page is from the Urban West Rub On pack.
The non SU tools I have used for this page are the creative memories Circle Cutting System and 12 inch Decorative Trimmer for the wavy lines at the bottom of the page.

Certainly Celery and Pretty in Pink

Ever since I set the challenge at the Cardinal Stampers Blog to use Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink and Whisper white I just can't stop making cards with those colours. Here are some cards that I made a couple of weeks ago.
This one uses the stamp set that comes in the Simple Delights Card kit (love it) stamped on SU Textured card stock and punched out using the square punch. I have then mounted it on Textured Pretty in Pink card stock and pierced round the squares using the paper piercing tool and mat pack in the Crafters Tool kit and used my white gel pen to make it look like stitching.
The score lines around the card base and at the bottom near the sentiment we done using the Paper Cutter and scoring blade. The ribbon is Pretty in Pink Taffeta. The Welcome Baby is from the Short and Sweet set and I have used the oval and word window punch. The use of the Textured Card stock really adds a lovely soft element to the card.
This next one was for my Aunty Robyn's birthday. She is also a SU demonstrator and you can check out her blog here - Rainbows by Robyn.

I have embossed the heart stamp from the Always stamp set (retiring soon) in white EP onto Vellum card stock mounted it on some whisper white CS and cut it out. I then used my pretty in pink and certainly celery markers to colour the vellum. I used the Certainly Celery Prints DSP to almost cover the card base and embossed the Happy Birthday sentiment (from Darkroom Door, yes I know I have committed Rubb-adultery) in white EP. The ribbon is from a retired ribbon originals pack. I have had so much fun with this colour combination and I can see myself using it again and again.

We are so close to the start of the new Summer Mini Catalogue so watch this space for some cards using the new products. I have been working on a few and I will post them soon.

Another Christmas Card

This is a card I will be making at a workshop I am holding on the weekend.

There have been quite a few of these Christmas Bauble cards about in the blogging world so I thought I would have a go at making one myself. I have seen them done a few different ways but I don't think anyone has done them this way. What I have done is make a template by taking a piece of CS the same size as my card front and then punching out the three circles using the 1 inch, 1 1/4 inch and 1 3/4 inch circle punches exactly where I wanted them.

Here is a picture of my template. I then position it over my confetti white card base and sponge on purely pomegranate ink in a circular motion using a sponge dauber making one side of the circle darker than the other. I then stamped the swirly image from the Season of Joy stamp set (soon to be retired in the spring mini catalogue) onto the baubles while the template is still in place.

Below is a second template I made. To do the top of the bauble I used the word window punch on the edge of some scrap and the string was made using my scissors two cut two straight lines next to each other and removing the card stock in between.
I then remove the first template and mask off the baubles with the circles I created when I punched the first template. I place the second template at the top of each bauble and sponge in Encore Gold ink with a sponge dauber to make the bauble top and then do the same with the string template. You can then remove all your masks and finish off your card.

I have used a strip of the Holiday harmony DSP (spring mini) and stamped the sentiment from the Many Merry Messages stamp set in Purely Pomegranate and your done. The great thing about this card is you can re-use the templates to recreate the design over and over and they all come out the same.

Christmas Stamp-a-stack

I held a Christmas Stamp-a-stack a couple of weeks ago so I guess it is about time I put the cards we made up on here. We made 2 of each of these cards and also made mayching envelopes.

This first one uses Markers and a blender pen to colour the presents from the Crazy about Christmas stamp set. I have layered it on some real red CS and then on some summer picnic DSP (soon to be retired from the Spring mini Catalogue). I have used my real red marker to omit the Merry from the Merry Christmas stamp. Don't forget that you can order single real red and old olive markers till the 30th of November.This second one uses the So Swirly Jumbo wheel in Old Olive. The pine tree from the Lovely as a Tree set is then inked up in Old Olive then I took my chocolate chip marker and coloured the tree trunk directly on the rubber before I stamped it.

It doesn't show up very well but I used my two way glue pen to draw on some tinsel and then poured some dazzling diamonds glitter for some sparkle. The sentiment is from the Seasonal Wishes stamp set and has been embossed with Gold EP.

The last one uses the Solemn Stillness two step stamp set. I have used Always Artichoke for the tree and then the decorations have been embossed using Gold EP. The Sentiment is from the Many Merry Messages stamp set and it has also been embossed straight onto the Holiday Harmony DSP (soon to be retired from the Spring Mini Catalogue). The ribbon is Purely Pomegranate double stitched grosgrain ribbon. The card base on the last two cards is Confetti White CS which I found makes a great strong card base for my christmas cards. On the inside of the cards I used the different christmas messages from Many Merry Messages.

Card Catch Up

Here are some of the cards I have made lately. This first one was for my niece who turned 6 in October. I have used the Summer Picnic DSP and the Tart and Tangy stamp set from the Spring Mini that will be ending at the end of November. The ribbon is Real Red Striped Grosgrain and I used my Old Olive and Real Red Markers to colour the strawberry image. The idea for this card came from this tutorial by Dawn at Dawns Stamping Thoughts This card was for my friends son. The colours are Really Rust, More Mustard and Chocolate Chip. The Lion is from "Wild About You" and has been coloured with markers and stamped on glossy cardstock and punched out with the scallop circle punch and then mounted on another scallop circle. The chocolate chip layer has been crimped using the crimper. The DSP I have used is Spring Showers.

This last card uses Summer Picnic DSP (If you like this you will need to order it this month because it will soon retire when the spring mini ends Nov 30). The ribbon is Real Red Striped Grosgrain and I used my Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Real Red Markers to colour the image from "Boho Backgrounds" and the sentiment. (You will be able to order single SU markers from Nov 10th till Nov 30th). I have made a custom envelope using whisper white CS and stamped it to match the card.

Well I hope you like these cards. I have heaps more to show you, I just have to get the time to write them all up.

My Son is 4!

It was my son's 4th Birthday today so I thought I would show you the card I made. I used some non SU items on this card because he is a mad Spiderman fan. I made the wall using Brilliant Blue CS that was scored to look like bricks with my Cutter and scoring blade and then sponged on some Brilliant Blue ink and Basic black ink with my sponge daubers. The "Happy Birthday to You!" is from the SU Rub-Ons pack "A Perfect Day" and I have to say they are the easiest Rub-Ons I have ever used. Keep a look out for a fantastic Rub-On Special coming soon. I have used Basic Black CS for the road and the card base is Real Red. His name has been written with my Basic Black Marker.

We wrapped his present in brown paper and my husband drew a cool web on the top and I made a cute little spider out of SU punches. I saw this idea on this blog here by Jenni Oliver. I changed it slightly because I wanted my spider to have 8 legs. It uses the scallop circle, photo corner, 1/2 inch circle and the 1/4 inch circle punches. I used two black scallop circles and attached the legs in between them so they wouldn't fall off.

I have been making so many cards in the last couple of weeks but haven't put them on my blog so hopefully over the next few days I will be posting them on here, so stay tuned.

Here is my attempt at Kristina's Challenge for this week. I was lucky and had made this card the day before the challenge went up and happened to use the right colours. It is for my friends (Zarna) daughters first birthday.

I have used Rose Red, Regal Rose and So Saffron Card Stock, Water Colour Paper, Black Stazon, white gel pen, Aqua Painter, Rich Regal Water Colour Crayons, and wide Regal Rose Grosgrain ribbon. The stamp sets I used are both level 1 hostess sets, For a Friend and A Little Bit of Happiness. I used the corner rounder with the guard removed to do the scalloped edge.

KWERNERDESIGN Color Inspiration #25

I wanted to make a First Birthday card so I decided to use the colours from Kristina's colour challenge (here http://kwernerdesign.com/blog/2008/10/color-inspiration-25.html) for my card. I have used Celery and So Saffron Prints DSP, Ballet Blue Grosgrain ribbon, sponge daubers, versamark and clear embossing powder. The stamp sets I used are Time Well Spent (Level 3 hostess set) and Well Worn Numbers (retired).
I have used the emboss resist technique for the main feature pannel.

Fathers Day Cards

I know I am very late in putting these up on my blog but better late than never. I made a lot of Fathers day cards this year (not all for my family but for other people as well). For this first one I found a great tutorial last year on how to make these shirts. The tutorial can be found here - http://cambriaturnbow.blogspot.com/2007/06/palette-o-prints-father-shirt.html. I have used some Close to Cocoa Prints DSP and the Outlaw DSP and used the colours Chocolate Chip and Close to Cocoa to match.

These next three used the Outlaw and Fall Flowers DSP and the stamp sets I used were Occasional Greetings and Seeing Spots.
I also helped my Daughters class make cards for their dads and this is what we used. Because they were only Kinder and Year 1 kids I did the stamping and cutting and they put the card together, coloured in the image and wrote inside. The colours used were Very Vanilla, Sage Shadow, Really Rust, Chocolat Chip and Not Quite Navy. The stamp sets we used we Occasional Greetings and Summer by the Sea.

These wallet cards are a great idea if you want to give money, gift cards or even scratchies. I didn't have any cash on hand for the photo but you get the idea.

Challenge #2 Inspiration Challenge

It is challenge time over at our Cardinal Stampers blog and this time it was Zarna's turn to challenge us. She decided to do an Inspiration challenge. The picture we were given to draw inspiration from was this.Here is my take on the challenge. I have taken the picture in the top left hand corner and re-created it for my card. I have used the following SU punches, Large Oval, small Oval, Word window, 1/2 " Circle and Designer Label. Cardstock - Sage Shadow, Taken with Teal, Mellow Moss, So Safron, Basic Black and Whisper White. Accessories - Dimensionals, Styled Silver Hodge Podge Hardware and brads.

KWERNER Colour Challenge

I have finally had the time to have a go at the Colour Inspiration Challenge at KWERNERDESIGN.COM.

I am a little late on the deadline I think as it is in the US and I have no idea what time it is over there. Better late than never I guess so here it is. I am still on the horse theme but this time I have used glossy card stock and a combination of Sponges and Sponge Daubers.

I've Been Zindorfing

Well I have promised to upload a card and believe me I have heaps to share but I have decided to upload one that I made today for my Nanna's Birthday. She loves horses and I remembered seeing this great tutorial on Michelle Zindorf's blog and I just had to give it a try. I just love her style.

In my card I didn't emboss the horse. I just added it in towards the end before I sponged the ground and because it was stamped in black it just went over all the layers. I also stamped the swirly stamp from the Baroque Motifs set around the outside and highlighted parts of it with the white gel pen. I used versamark, white embossing powder and the heat tool for the sentiment and in the second card I have wheeled the Baroque Border Wheel in versamark and clear embossed it on the black card stock, (the chocolate chip ribbon is from the retired seaside ribbon originals pack).

Here are a couple more cards that I have made using products from the Spring Mini Catalogue.
This first card uses the new "True Friend" stamp set. I started by randomly stamping the chocolate chip card base in versamark and then I heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. I then stamped the canvas background stamp on the always artichoke layer with versamark and embossed with clear embossing powder to give it a cool canvas texture.

I next used my markers to colour directly on the flower stamp and the sentiment stamp, huffed on it and then stamped onto whisper white card stock. I used my paper snip to cut them both out and used dimensionals on them and the canvas layer.

Here are the SU products I used:

Markers - Ballet Blue, Night of Navy and Always Artichoke.

CS - Chocolate Chip, Always Artichoke, Night of Navy and Whisper White.

Ink - Versamark

Ribbon - Navy Grosgrain

Stamps - True Friend, Sincere Salutations and Canvas

Accessories - Heat tool, Clear EP, Embossing Buddy, Paper Snips, dimensionals and snail adhesive.

This card uses Bloomin' with Beauty. I have stamped the image on whisper white cardstock with Basic Brown ink and then coloured it in using a combination of markers and ink with a blender pen. I then cut it out with my paper snips and used dimensionals to pop it up. I used my crimper to crimp the chocolate chip layer and I attached the crimped layer with pop up glue dots. The old olive layer is textured cardstock. The Designer paper is from the new Summer Picnic Designer paper pack, (love it). The ribbon slide I have used is from the new silver hodgepodge hardware.

Here are the SU products I used:
Ink and Markers - Bashful Blue, Ballet Blue, Old Olive, Close to Cocoa, Creamy Caramel and Basic Brown.
CS - Chocolate Chip, Textured Old Olive and Whisper White.

DSP - Summer Picnic Designer Paper.
Ribbon - White Grosgrain.
Stamps - Bloomin' with Beauty, Occasional Greetings.

Accessories - Brushed Silver Hodgepodge Hardware, White Gel Pen, Blender Pen, Crimper, pop up glue dots, Dimensionals, Snail Adhesive and Paper Snips.

Sneak Peek Number 3!

This card has been made using three beautiful things from the new Spring Mini. The stamp is from Bloomin' with Beauty (I will have another sample card using one of the other stamps in this set soon). The Patterned paper is from the Holiday Harmony Designer Paper Pack which as you can see can be used for more than just Christmas Cards. Finally I have used the gorgeous wide Purely Pomegranate Satin Ribbon.
For the watercolouring I have stamped the image in Black Stazon Ink on watercolour paper then used the markers and also the pomegranate ink pad with the blender pen to put colour in the shadow parts of the flower. I then used my Aqua painter to blend the colour out. Finally I outlined the whole flower with the Going Grey Marker.

Sneak Peek Number 1!

Ok here goes. This is the first card I have made using the beautiful new products in the Spring Mini Catalogue that starts on the 1st of August. Have I said yet how much I love it?

This card uses the new Summer Picnic designer paper which is just to die for. It matches perfectly with the Tart and Tangy Stamp set which I have used here as well. I first saw this stamp set in the US blogs that I read and I just loved it. I jumped for joy when I saw it in the Mini Catalogue and was so excited that I rang my downline in Parkes to tell her about it and forgot that it was early in the morning and I woke her up......whoops. Thankfully when she got her demo copy from the post office she forgave me because she was just as excited about the catalogue as I was. Any way back to the card. Here are the SU products that I have used:

Two Baby Cards

I have had quite a few people I know having babies lately so I have had to get my act together and make some baby cards. This first one was for twins, a boy and a girl which mean't it had to have both girl and boy colours. I just had to use chocolate chip as the base as it seems to go with just about everything.
Here are the SU products that I used to make this card:
Ink - Purely Pomegranate, Ballet Blue and Chocolate Chip
Card Stock - Whisper White and Chocolate Chip
DSP - Close to Cocoa DS Prints
Stamps - Lovely Labels, So many Sayings and Warm Words
Markers - Chocolate Chip (for the little 2 above happiness and for the names of the twins)
Punches - Scallop Circle and 1 3/8 Circle
Other - Snail Adhesive and Dimensionals (to pop up the centre square)For this next card I ended up using the retired Wheel "Wash Day" so it is no longer available but I thought it was a good example of how you can use the outline Wheel Stamps with a black ink cartridge and then colour in the image using your markers. I have also used the crimper to crimp the Chocolate Chip cardstock for added dimension.
Here are the SU products I have used:
Ink - Chocolate Chip and a Basic Black Wheel Cartridge
Card Stock - Chocolate Chip, Ballet Blue, Bashful Blue and Whisper White
Markers - Night of Navy, Ballet Blue, Mellow Moss, Creamy Caramel, Close to Cocoa, Bashful Blue and Real Red

The card on the left I made for my sister-in-laws birthday and uses the following SU products:

Another Purse Album

I had so much fun making the last purse album that I just had to make another one. (The link to where I originally saw this idea is on the post for the last one). I made this one slightly different and made it more like a book on the inside.
This is made using Stampin' Up! products, (except for the Creative Memories Circle Cutters and the velcro dots from Spotlight).
Cardstock - Kraft, Really Rust and Old Olive.
Designer Paper - Fall Flowers (p134).
Punches - Handheld 1/16 Inch Circle, Slit Punch (to make the scalloped edge), Scalloped Circle and the 1-3/8 Inch Circle (p142).
Other - Crop-A-Dile (p145), Pretties Kit (p144), Sticky Strip, Snail Adhesive (p148), Cherished Memories Rub Ons (p141), Jumbo Eyelets Pewter (p145), Rhinestone Brads Ice Circles (p145), Old Olive wide grosgrain ribbon and Groovy Guava double stitched ribbon (p146).

This is the view from the back. The Crop-A-Dile make it easy to punch the holes for the eyelets and set them. I also used it to punch the holes in the scalloped edge.
Here is the inside. It is blank now as I am still deciding what photo's to put in it. I just realised that I didnt use a single stamp or ink pad for this album, I will have to use some on the inside so they don't feel left out.

I want to shout it from the highest mountain! I have finally had the time to complete a scrapbook page and I couldn't be happier. So here it is, I hope it is worth the wait! I was so impressed how well the colours all came together. This is my gorgeous little boy on his first day of PreSchool this year. This page has been done using 99% Stampin' Up! products. The only thing I used that wasn't SU was my album because I use Creative Memories Albums and the Creative Memories Circle cutters.
The SU products I have used are:
Cardstock - Old Olive and Not Quite Navy textured CS, Soft Sky CS, Chocolate Chip CS, Not Quite Navy CS and Old Olive CS.
Designer Series Paper - Spring Break
Stamp Sets - Linen and Office Accoutrements
Ink - Not Quite Navy and Old Olive
Punches - Scalloped Circle, 1 1/4 inch Circle, Large Star and Star
Other - On Board Lots of Letters, Sponge Daubers, Snail Adhesive, Soft Sky Double Stitched Ribbon and Old Olive Marker.

I coloured the chipboard letters with my sponge daubers and my ink pad then inked up my linen background stamp and pushed the letters into it for some texture. (note: Use darker colours when you ink chipboard as lighter colours don't show up as well). The word "day" was traced from the outline of the chipboard letters then cut out and also stamped with the linen stamp.

So what do you think? I am happy with it but I think I am a little biased because it stars my gorgeous little man :).

Bling Card

Here is a card I made back in May for my Niece for her birthday. I added the bling to the card by using the 2 way glue pen (p148) on the icing of the cupcake and the centre of the flowers and then I sprinkled Dazzling Diamonds (p148) on top then just tapped off the excess back into the container. The designer paper is from the palete of prints pack from last months promo and the stamps are from the level 2 hostess set "Cause for Celebration" (p21) and "Occasional Greetings" (p121).

New Office Furniture

Hi all, I am finally over my cold and feeling much better. I thought you might like to see my new office furniture that we bought on the long weekend! I just love that I can now have all my supplies and accessories within reach, organised and tidy.

This is where I keep my tools, accessories, albums, kits, markers, ink spots, ribbon, punches, embosing powders and packs of cardstock both 12 X 12 and A4.

On my desk I have my large cutter, my laptop and my ink caddy with all my large ink pads. Under my desk I have my 12 X 12 patterned paper, scrap pieces of cardstock (organised in the Stampin' Up! colour families of course) and scrap pattered paper storage. My work files are in the clear box.

I have all my stamp sets here. All but two of the sets on the top shelf are background stamps. Can you tell that I love background stamps?

Well now you know where I work, (ahem...play).

Opps Missed a Day

I was trying to post something in this blog everyday but yesterday I was sick. Well today I am still sick but I just had to show you the wonderful RAK I received yesterday from my friend Amanda. (RAK stands for Random act of Kindness). It is amazing to me that my friends always seem to know when I need them. So often when I really need a friend to talk to they will ring me or drop round unexpectedly. Well yesterday it happened again. First of all I got a call from my good friend Colleen. I was feeling horrible in the morning and her phone call cheered me up and got me through the day. Then in the afternoon another friend Amanda dropped round to give me this wonderful card and some yummy cupcakes. Now neither of them knew I was sick so it was just typical of my friends just knowing when I needed them. Thanks guys, your the best!The cupcakes were as yummy as they look!

Another RAK that I have received lately was from my good friend and downline, Zarna. She sent me an awsome magnet which says, "A clean house is the sign of a lazy stamper". Every stamper needs one of these. I will have to take a picture of it when my camera batteries recharge but it is just the coolest thing. Now when the house looks like a bomb has gone off I can look at the magnet and be assured that I am not a lazy stamper! Thanks Zarna!

Male Birthday Cards

Here are a couple of male birthday cards. I have to admit I find cards for males so much harder to do than cards for females but here goes nothing.

This was one of the cards that used for my April workshops. I have used the Sanded background stamp (p 108), Wanted (p 64), and Occational Greetings (p 121) Stamp sets. The patterned paper is from the Outlaw pack (p 134) and I have used the large star punch (p 143) with really rust cardstock and then stamped the star out of the Wanted stamp into it and popped it up with dimentionals. I stamped the horse from the Wanted set directly onto the patterned paper with Basic Brown Ink.This is a card I made back in April for my brother's 30th Birthday. I have used the Outlaw designer Paper (p 134) again because the colours are great and it works well with male cards. I have stamped the ute image from Loads of Love stamp set (p 44) onto the paper then cut it out and then stamped it again on the cardstock and stuck the patterned paper ute on top and coloured the bits left over with my markers. The sentiment has been stamped using the Lovely Letters alphabet (p 125), the Rough Edges Mini alphabet (p 126) and a retired number set. I will be back tomorrow with a girl card with some bling!

Another Day Another Post

Today i have put up some links on this blog to some of the other blogs that i read. They can be found on the right hand side of this blog under the heading - Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Blogs. I had to change the design slightly due to the fact that it was from a US blog and we don't have all the same products as they have. The Stampin Up products I have used are ribbon from the Theater Ribbon Originals pack for the handle, River Rock Ribbon, Hodge Podge Hardware, Urban West Rub-Ons, Rhinestone Brads, Carte Postale stamp set, Le Jardin Designer Series Paper, So Saffron Ink, Always Artichoke ink, Always Artichoke CS, River Rock CS, Bashful Blue CS, Circle Punches, Scalloped Circle Punch, Word Window Punch and the Slit Punch to make the large scalloped edge. I have used a combination of snail adhesive, Dimensionals and sticky strip to put it all together. I think that is everything. Don't fall off your chairs but i am going to post something on my blog. I have been spending too much time checking out other peoples blog lately and have neglected my own. SORRY! I am going to try and make it up to you now so here we go.

Today i am going to post a picture of a card that i was inspired to do by two separate bloggers. Firstly there is a challenge over at http://andreawalford.com/ Andrea is a Canadian Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and she does something called Stampin' Up! Makover Monday where she finds a card she likes then recreates it using only Stampin' Up! products. The End is Near!

The end of the Main catalogue is almost apon us and so is the end of the Summer Mini catalogue so if you want to order items from the retired list now is the time to do it. After the 31st of March it will be too late. On a positive note we will have a NEW Catalogue! I have a copy of it and it is very exciting. Of course there are new stamps but there are also exciting new accessories as well. Bring on April 1st!

This card is using the new level 3 hostess gift set Time Well Spent from the new catalogue. I have water coloured the image using ink and a blender pen on watercolour paper. The colours are Elegant Eggplant, Always Artichoke, Really Rust and Ruby Red.

Finally Some Cards

Hi, i have been really slack posting my pictures lately. (sorry Amanda ). So here are some things that i have made lately. First up is an address book made using the On Board Journal from SU! I have used the now retiring Recollections Designer Paper and French Script Background Stamp (sob, two of my favourite things). The Tabs are made using the Tab punch and i have also used a bit of Hodge Podge Hardware. It is all held together with Mod Podge.

This is a card that i made for friends of ours who had a baby boy a month ago. I used the retiring stamp sets "Favourite Teddy Bear" and "All Year Cheer II" and ribbon from the retiring ribbon originals sets. The colours i used are chocolate chip, Ballet Blue, Sage Shadow and Whisper White. The background stamp i used is Canvas.

Below is a card i made for a friend of mine that came home after a long trip away. The style was inspired by a blog i read all the time. It can be found here http://kwernerdesign.com/blog/. Everything is SU! except the Letters used for "BACK" and the ribbon. The colours i used are Chocolate Chip, Rose Red and Very Vanilla. I have also used "Au Chocolat" DS Designer Paper which is in the Summer Mini and can be purchased till the end of March.

Retired List!

The retire list for the current catalogue has been released and things are selling out fast. Below is the list and i will try and keep it up to date as things sell out. Items in RED are already sold out. Items in Yellow have limited stock left. I am a little bit sad as my favourite stamp of all time; French Script is on the retire list. I will have to find a new stamp to use at all my workshops now. These items are for sale only until the 31st of March or until they are sold out. Hello Again,
Before Christmas i kept myself well and truly busy decorating jewellery boxes for Christmas gifts and I also helped a friend of mine to make some for gifts as well. One of them you have seen on here already but here are some of the others......

If anyone wants any of the details of the products i used just leave a comment or send me an email (and yes we hand stamped each flower on the top of the blue box using 3 different coloured markers and the Carte Postale Stamp Set from the Summer mini....it took ages). They are mostly all Stampin' Up! products which you can purchase through me except for the jewellery boxes themselves, they were purchased as plain wooden boxes elsewhere.

The other type of boxes i made were cute origami boxes using the new "Au Chocolat" Designer series Double-sided paper and the Chocolate Chip wide grosgrain ribbon that can be found in the new Summer Mini. I made them for my Daughters Preschool Teachers and put some yummy chocolates in them. Very appropriate i thought. I also made a little Thank You card to go with each box.

THE SUMMER MINI IS HERE!

I have been busy today decorating a jewellery box for my Niece for Christmas. New Summer Mini Catalogue

It is not long now till the release of the new Summer Mini Catalogue (Dec 1st) and as i have said before it has some fantastic stuff in there. I have been busy making cards today so i thought i would put them on here. Some of the stamps, paper and ribbon used in these cards are from the the new mini.
The stamp sets i have used in these cards are: Paisley Background Stamp, French Script Background Stamp, Carte Postale (new), All Year Cheer II, Reason to Smile hostess stamp set and Word by Word Background stamp.

I am sad to say that this blog entry is starting off with some sad news. You may or may not know that the Australian General Manager of Stampin’ Up!, Dave Abbott, recently passed away from a rare blood disease, at the age of 41, leaving behind his wife and 3 young children. Stampin’ Up! have just released the stamp set called ‘All in the Family’ in Australia in order to raise money for Dave’s family. 100% of the proceeds of the sale of this stamp set worldwide will be donated to Dave’s young family. The ‘All in the Family’ stamp set will appear in the Idea Book & Catalogue 2008-2009 (which will be released in April), but has been pre-released to raise money for the Abbott family. I'm Back

Sorry guys, it has been a long time since i have posted. I do have some very good excuses for this, the first is that i was very sick for about a week. I was just recovering when i had a huge workshop for my friend Colleen which was full on but heaps of fun, thanks for the fantastic turnout. Then it was off to Sydney for 6 days to celebrate my birthday with my family and share my new stamps and equipment. I spent one afternoon/evening making some cards with Annette, Megan and Monique which was great (hi girls) and the next night i had yet another workshop, this time for my Mum and her friends. A big hello and thanks to all the ladies who came along, I had a great time and i will be sure to bring my equipment with me next time i am visiting. The time went too quickly and it was time to come home. I had a couple of days rest before i had to prepare for another workshop. It too went very well, what a fantastic job i have! Thanks to everyone who attended Shelleigh's workshop!
If all that wasn't enough excuse, my husband's computer was upgraded as well so i had to wait for him to load the photo software on again to post pictures of my cards on the blog.
All in all it has been a very busy and fun time and i will hopefully get my act together very soon and upload more card and scrapbooking photos.

Christmas 2004 Double Page Layout

This page has been made using Stampin' Up! products and products from other companies. I tried to submit this page to one of the Scrapbooking Magazines but unfortunately it wasn't what they were looking for. Better luck next time i guess.

I have used Creative Memories Stickers, Kaiser Rub Ons and all the ribbon, stamps, card stock and papers are from Stampin' Up.
The card stock i used is Creamy Caramel, Garden Green and Ruby Red.
The borders are stamped with the French Script Background stamp using Versamark.
And the patterned paper is from the Recollections Designer Series Paper pack.
I have also used Taupe Grosgrain Ribbon, Stampin' Up! Dimensionals and SNAIL Adhesive.

I had a lot of fun doing this layout even if it did take me two days!

Birthday Card

This is a Birthday Card i made a while ago but i didn't want to put it on the blog until it has reached its destination. I love these colours, they look so elegant.

I have used Elegant Eggplant, Whisper White and Always Artichoke Card stock.
The stamps are from the Heartfelt Thanks set.
And i have used Always Artichoke, Perfect Plum & Basic Black Classic Ink Pads and VersaMark Watermark Stamp Pad. It was put together using the SNAIL Adhesive.

This card design was inspired by a card that was made by one of the people at my workshop a couple of weeks ago. These would have to be my favourite colours in the whole range but i guess you can tell that because i have used them a lot. I may have to invest in a full packet of just Always Artichoke as it seems to just go with everything!

Make and Take Night

I am toying with the idea of having a make and take night at my house next month (maybe mid August). This is the concept.....i pick a theme such as Christmas cards for example and make up two designs and get all the card stock and accessories for each person to make 10 cards (5 of each design). We then pick a night and anyone who comes can make their 10 cards using my stamps and equipment. An entry fee will be charged but you get to take home the 10 cards you have made. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided. If this sounds interesting to you (and you live in Dubbo or the surrounding area of course) please leave a comment on this post or send me an email.

Here is an example of what you are able to make. This card was made by my friend Renee at a night i had recently.

If you don't live in Dubbo remember that you can still order Stampin' Up! products from me and they can be shipped straight to you from the warehouse. Favourite Teddy Bear

I am so happy with how this page turned out. I recently purchased the Favourite Teddy Bear stamp set and the weathered background stamp and when i went through my photos i needed to scrapbook and found these, well it was a match made in heaven!
